The importance of the library stems from the importance of reading and the importance of acquiring culture. The greater the interest of the individual, society and the state in culture and knowledge, the greater the role of reading, and the more frequented libraries are than other existing places.

Today, in the era of technological progress, electronic libraries have emerged, and their role and importance for researchers has emerged, as these libraries contribute to improving research services compared to the traditional means that needed a long time in the past, as well as helping researchers to acquire them in their own homes, in which he puts his selections of books and scientific research.

The e-library has played a major role in supporting the higher education sector by providing a large number of ways to help people prepare academic research. The e-library has also provided a range of useful methods for electronic documentation of institutions; in addition, the e-library has helped to provide a wide range of books that the reader cannot obtain, especially if the paper copies are lost or out of stock, or because the student could not purchase them due to lack of financial liquidity.

Thus, we see that the e-library was a result of the great development that the era has witnessed, and it has become a great role in providing a large number of books to students in the easiest way, and it also saved space and money for students.
